    Hi Dear.. I visited your RUclips channel and found it needs a lot of updates. First of all your channel video SEO is very weak due to which your channel video views are not increasing. @@ThermalMermaid Thanks a lot! I made it today, and it was the first time when i was using my blender for more than 5 min, and the soap was still liquid . Usually i suffer from the opposite problem ). I decided that it has at least emulsified, (not sure if to went to trace,) and poured it into a mold. Will keep it there for a week, just in case. Can't wait to use it. Thanks again!

    Thank you for all your lovely tips..... Just curious about PH and it's affects. As now it's like only use PH 5-6

    • @ThermalMermaid
      @ThermalMermaid 8 дней назад

      Ph 5-6 is more acid. A typical bar of soap will be 7 with a leaning toward 8-9…. Are you saying you want 5-6?

      My grandmothers and even some aunts were rinsing their hair with a quart of warm water with a spoon of vinegar in it. Maybe, this is what you can try?

    • @ThermalMermaid
      @ThermalMermaid 7 дней назад

      @_Diana_S Yes a vinegar rinse is a very well known old technique..... The water would probably rinse any acid away from the vinegar and leave you around 7 again. What eve touches you last will be your ph.... its usually water.

    I use cold process shampoo bars all the time, and I definitely want to give this recipe a try. For the hard water in my area, I am going to add some chelators, and since I love scents, I'll add some essential oils too, my favorite being lavender, tea tree, and a tiny bit of mint. 😀

    How do you clean the slices up at the end?

    • @ThermalMermaid
      @ThermalMermaid 11 дней назад

      Give them a little time to dry up after you slice, then spritz w rubbing alcohol and they become crystal clear. After a while the surfaces cloud up but when you pick it up and get it wet it washes away the thin film of cloudiness and is crystal clear again.

    I always heard you can’t use Epsom salt in soap?

    • @ThermalMermaid
      @ThermalMermaid Месяц назад

      In some cases magnesium sulfate will gunk up in cp soaps but in hp you’ve cooked off so much more of the water that it is less likely to cause an issue. There are some who do want their epsom salts and if you choose it you will have better luck in a hp soap. I used sea salt in this bar and avoided the humectant possibility all together. I think magnesium (chloride ) is better used in lotions anyway.

    Ok so I absolutely love the thought of this. My skin is begging for this because I don't like the dry feeling I get from any soap with a soap base. My question is, will this not end up hardening in the drain of the sink or shower and eventually clog the drains?

    • @ThermalMermaid
      @ThermalMermaid Месяц назад

      Not at all. This is a regular bar of soap and it will behave just like any soap only you have control over the natural ingredients that go into it.

    • @ThermalMermaid
      @ThermalMermaid 2 месяца назад

      @@melissapeterson4202 yes you are correct. The paper states CBD absorbs poorly into the skin over all but it DOES absorb into the hair follicle better than other parts of skin where it can modulate CB1 and CB2 receptors .

    • @ThermalMermaid
      @ThermalMermaid 2 месяца назад

      @@melissapeterson4202 also keep in mind when we are talking about lotions and cremes cbd isn’t transferring through your skin. The cbd is not going into your body at all. It is reacting with receptors in your skin in the ECS that then send signals for pain relief/ relaxation…. Or what ever the perceived benefit. It’s a neuromodulator…. Not a drug.
